One of ZNI’s main activities is hosting international students for work placements in Slovenia. Alongside this, we also organise school mobilities and visits, with a strong focus on including participants with fewer opportunities and special needs.
ZNI is committed to providing a holistic mobility experience, ensuring high-quality accommodation, mentoring, and continuous support throughout the programme.
Students are guided at every stage of their stay.
To monitor progress, students submit weekly reports and take part in bi-weekly mentoring meetings with their ZNI mentor. At the end of the mobility, a final evaluation meeting is held to assess outcomes and improve future projects.

Mobility experience in SLOVENIA

There are various possibilities for mobility in Slovenia, depending first on participants' knowledge, skills, and motivation, and secondly, on their needs, desires, and fields of interest. We specialize in programs for students, organizing work experiences in enterprises or working organizations in Slovenia. Additionally, we arrange programs for teachers and tutors who come to Slovenia for training visits, job shadowing, and the exchange of best practices. We continually develop our structure and forge new partnerships with local partners across different industries. There is almost no area that cannot be covered by ZNI.

ZNI acts as an intermediary organization and provides comprehensive services for participants. The placements are hosted by our partners, located across Slovenia, primarily in Maribor, Ptuj, Celje, Slovenska Bistrica, and Murska Sobota. We cover a wide range of industries and areas, including business, IT, marketing, media, mechanics, tourism, hospitality, green energy, social work, care, youth work, architecture, civil engineering, agriculture, environment, and more. Work practice is predominantly conducted in English. |
Our advantage lies in the presence of bilingual regions in Slovenia where German, Croatian, Italian, and Hungarian languages are spoken. For participants with lower proficiency in English, work placements in these areas can be a valuable opportunity. Slovenia is also a budget-friendly country with many advantages for students, including affordable meals and tickets. Moreover, it is easy to travel across Slovenia due to its compact size and transportation infrastructure. Numerous European cities are located within a 1-4 hour drive from Slovenia, including Graz, Zagreb, Trieste, Venice, Vienna, and Budapest.
