Post-mobility impressions of INTERVET students in 2021

"I am very happy that I was able to be part of the internship in Slovenia, I had many good moments during my stay there. I also think I have improved in directions for what I have practically done for agencies, accommodations, etc. I have also made many friends from different countries: from Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Czech Republic, etc. I want to thank all those who have supported me during my stay in Slovenia, in particular, I want to thank Patricia who is a very hardworking girl". (Adnit Kameri, Kosovo. Worked at Pohorje Village Resort).

"Mobility in Maribor influenced me by seeing that the job of a waiter is much more appreciated in Maribor than in the country where I come from. With the help of an internship in Maribor, I learned a lot, and now in my school I show my friends what they have never seen. In Maribor, the team influenced me, all those people who worked with me were very good, positive and smiling, it was a pleasure to work with them, I went to work every day with great pleasure. But, I started to look at my job with different eyes, in the country where I come from, I will not do much with my job, while abroad, a waiter is a much appreciated job. I am glad that I decided on that move, to spend a month in Maribor, where I learned how beautiful my job really is, especially when working with such good people". (Milan Mitić, Serbia. Worked at Nana Bistro & Kavarna).

"Staying and practicing in Maribor contributed to my mental growth and, on the other hand, defined my professional orientation. I imagined the job of a veterinary technician as a job that is unique and never the same, and this program allowed me to understand that this is exactly the rhythm that suits me. On the other hand, until this mobility, I was not aware that in whatever situation I found myself, I could solve everything and adapt to everything. Mobility awakened my organisational and social skills, improved tolerance, as well as culinary and household skills, but also contributed to gaining even greater responsibility and respect for diversity. To turn back time, I would do the same thing again, and I hope for another experience like this in the future". (Anastasija Stojić, Serbia. Worked at Veterinarski Center Pika).

When I applied for mobility in Maribor, I had no idea that staying there would change my life. Pika Center was a place where I was improving myself. The Pika team was very kind and friendly. They accepted me nicely from the first day, which meant a lot to me to feel good. In Pika Center, beside financial administration, which was my primary occupation, I also participated in working with children who were coming to the center. We had various creative workshops and it was a pleasure to work with them whenever needed. As for the administration, which was my primary job, I was given tasks that I completed without difficulty. Professional training at the Pika Center will mean a lot to me through further education and it also made me sure that I am on the right track when it comes to my education. Also, I made many friendships and visited beautiful destinations in beautiful Slovenia. I have a great desire to be a part of this project again and I hope to visit Maribor soon!  (Andjela Stanojlović, Serbia. Worked at Pika. Center Maribor).
